Alcantara river walk

The Alcantara river is the second longest river of Sicily, from the Nebrodi mountains to the Jonian sea. We will walk on Alkantara riverbank and if possibile we will dive into it.

Alcantara River walk: Mojo Alcantara and lunch

Its lava is separate and different from Mount Etna lava, it is more basaltic and of a silver color. It is here the Greeks had their headquarters to navigate up to inner Sicily. During summer it is possible to dive and get refreshed from the Sicilian hot.

We will walk to the easy top of one of its craters, Monte Mojo, from where to enjoy the typical landscape of the Alcantara valley. Then a walk along Alcantara riverbank to get ready for lunch, a tasteful experience with selected food from Sicily paired with Etna wines.
