Lipari is the biggest island of the archipelago with a fancy and a wild side.
Arrival is at Marina Lunga, the modern port and the tourist area and then a nice walk takes to Marina Corta, which has kept more the original and traditional scent of an Eolian harbor.
Very interesting is a full tour of the island by car or moped crossing the other villages and panoramic spots such as Chiesa Vecchia and I Faraglioni, the pomice cliff, the kaolin caves, the S.Calogero thermal baths dated back to 1500 b.c.
Lipari has also a worth seeing archeological museum at the top of a cliff in the city centre.
